Your Holiday Session Questions, Answered
From choosing your session to getting ready and receiving your photographs—here’s what to expect.
Should we choose Petite Moments or a full Holiday session?
Petite Moments is a 30-minute session in one decorated room at home, with one outfit and 15 hand-edited photographs selected by Mila. Full sessions can be in-home or outdoors, with more time for family combinations, outfit changes, and a larger gallery.
Can grandparents, extended family, and pets join?
Petite includes up to five people and pets total from one immediate household. Grandparents, extended family, and larger groups need a full collection. Golden Moments is required for seven or more participants. Pets are welcome—just let me know during planning.
What happens during planning, and how do we book?
We’ll meet on Google Meet to choose your session, discuss outfits, and plan your room or outdoor location. If you’d like to proceed, I’ll send your booking link. The consultation is free, with no pressure to book.
How should we prepare our home for Petite Moments?
We’ll choose your room using daytime photos or a short video during planning. Have it decorated and everyone dressed before I arrive so we can spend the full 30 minutes photographing. Petite includes one room and one outfit.
What if our kids need time to warm up?
We can start with cuddles, a familiar toy, or something they enjoy doing with you. Nobody has to perform or smile on command—we’ll keep things relaxed and let genuine moments unfold naturally.
When should we book to have our photographs ready for Holiday cards?
Allow 14–21 business days for your finished gallery, plus time for card design, production, shipping, and mailing. Share your mailing deadline during planning so we can work backward. A $50 rush-gallery option may be available; it doesn’t speed up card production or shipping.
What areas do you serve?
Petite Moments is available in your home within the Austin metro area. Full Holiday sessions cover Austin, the Texas Hill Country, and surrounding areas, including Fredericksburg. I’m based in Bee Cave and Lakeway.
What happens if the weather affects our session?
For outdoor sessions, we’ll watch the forecast and decide together whether to proceed or reschedule at no additional cost. Petite takes place indoors; if severe weather makes travel unsafe, I’ll contact you to arrange next steps.
How does payment work?
A retainer reserves your date. The remaining balance is due on session day, after we finish photographing. This applies to Petite Moments and all full Holiday collections.
How do we choose our included Fine Art print?
You’ll have seven days after gallery delivery to choose your photograph. If you haven’t selected one, I’ll choose a favorite so your print can be ordered and shipped to you. Petite includes a 5×7 Smooth Matte Fine Art Keepsake Print; full-collection sizes are listed above.
