For fall and holiday-season sessions, I recommend reaching out as early as you can since weekend and golden-hour dates tend to fill first. For other times of year, a few weeks ahead usually gives us more flexibility with dates and locations.

We’ll meet on Google Meet and talk through your family, your kids’ personalities, the moments you want to preserve, and whether an outdoor or in-home session feels right.

I’ll create a personalized Pinterest inspiration board and walk you through location ideas, seasonal examples, previous session imagery, and what your finished gallery and Fine Art Heirloom Print will look like.

Outdoor sessions are ideal if you love natural scenery, movement, and beautiful Austin or Hill Country light. In-home sessions are more intimate and relaxed, using the spaces where your family already feels most comfortable.

During your planning consultation, I’ll help you decide which experience fits your family best.

They don’t need to.

Family sessions are intentionally kid-led, with room to play, move, warm up, take breaks, or simply be themselves. I’ll gently guide everyone when needed while leaving space for the spontaneous expressions and interactions that often become favorite photos.

You do not need perfectly behaved kids to have beautiful family pictures.

Essential is ideal for a simple, focused session at one location.

Cherished gives you more breathing room, variety, and time for different combinations and is the Client Favorite.

Golden provides the most relaxed experience, with two hours, multiple locations or outfit changes, priority scheduling, and the deepest gallery.

For groups of 7 or more participants, Golden Moments is required so there’s enough time for the full family and smaller combinations without rushing.

Yes — multigenerational and extended-family sessions are welcome.

We can photograph the entire group together and then create smaller combinations such as grandparents with grandchildren, individual households, siblings, couples, and candid moments in between.

Absolutely. Pets are part of the family too.

Let me know during planning so we can choose a pet-friendly location or prepare your home appropriately. We’ll work them naturally into the session while keeping things flexible if they need a break.

After booking, I’ll help with colors, coordination, outfit ideas, and styling based on your family, chosen location, season, and the overall look you want. You’ll also receive personalized inspiration and preparation guidance leading up to the session.

Once your retainer is paid and the session is officially reserved, the high-touch planning begins — including location checks when needed, styling guidance, preparation information, and ongoing communication leading up to your session.

I keep a close eye on the forecast leading up to outdoor sessions.

If weather may affect your session, I’ll communicate with you directly — usually by text when timing is important — and we’ll decide whether to proceed or reschedule at no additional cost.

Yes. If you’re celebrating a birthday or milestone, I can help source foil helium balloons and coordinate pickup and delivery for your session.

The balloon cost plus sourcing/delivery is added to your final invoice.

A retainer reserves your session date, with the remaining balance due after your session — so you never pay the full amount upfront.

Mila Moments is a family photographer based in Bee Cave and Lakeway, photographing families throughout Austin, the Texas Hill Country, and surrounding areas — including locations as far as Fredericksburg.

Your complete gallery is delivered within 14–21 business days after your session, with every selected image individually hand-edited in the Mila Moments style.

A $50 rush-delivery option is available when you need your gallery sooner.

Your private online gallery includes lifetime access, so you can return to it anytime to view, share, and download your photographs.

Once your gallery is delivered, you’ll have 7 days to choose your favorite image for your included Fine Art Heirloom Print.

If you haven’t selected one after seven days, Mila will choose a favorite from your gallery so your print can be ordered and delivered directly to your doorstep.
