Not at all. Many families book after baby has arrived. Reach out as soon as you can, and we’ll do our best to find the earliest available date. Newborn sessions are beautiful in the first few weeks, but meaningful baby photos can be captured at every stage.

If you’re still expecting, booking before baby arrives is ideal so we can plan around your due date and adjust once baby is here. For baby milestone sessions, booking 3–6 weeks ahead is recommended.

Yes. Newborn and baby sessions can be in-home, outdoor, or a mix of both depending on your package, baby’s age, and the look you’re hoping for.

Lifestyle sessions are relaxed and story-driven — captured in your home with natural light and gentle guidance, rather than heavily posed studio setups. The result is warm, timeless images that actually look and feel like your family's first weeks together.

That’s completely expected. Sessions are calm and baby-led, with time for feeding, changing, soothing, and little pauses whenever needed.

Essential is best for a simple, focused session. Cherished gives more breathing room and variety. Golden is the most complete experience, especially for families who want multiple setups, more pairings, or a more relaxed pace.

Once your session is booked, we’ll schedule a planning call to go over your vision, location, outfits, baby’s needs, and all the little details.

A retainer is paid at booking to reserve your session date. The remaining balance is due after your session, and flexible payment options may be available through Klarna or Affirm at checkout.

We keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session. If the weather isn’t ideal, we’ll work with you to reschedule at no extra cost.

We’re based in Bee Cave and Lakeway and serve families across Austin and the Texas Hill Country. For locations farther out, we can provide a custom travel quote.

Your full gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks, excluding weekends and holidays.

Mila is fully vaccinated and follows careful hygiene practices for newborn sessions. Wraps, props, and equipment are cleaned before each shoot, and hands are sanitized throughout the session.

Yes. Mila provides styling guidance, outfit ideas, and a custom session inspiration board so everything feels cohesive and intentional. We also bring select wraps, fabrics, blankets, baskets, and simple styling pieces to match your session style — and you're always welcome to include meaningful items from home.

Yes. Parent, sibling, and family portraits can be included. For sessions with 7 or more participants, Golden Moments is required so we have enough time for full group photos, smaller family pairings, and relaxed moments without feeling rushed.
